[title size=”2″]James River Greenway[/title]

James River Greenway is a short two-mile trail that is adjacent to both the James River Water Trail and the Galloway Creek Greenway in the southeast area of the OzarkGreenways trail system. A paved section of the trail running just shy of one mile in length travels along the bluff and prairie areas next to Lake Springfield. The trail is handicap accessible from the Boathouse to its intersection with the Lake Springfield Park Trail, spanning 0.85 miles total. Aside from the breathtaking views of Lake Springfield to the south of the trail, and the natural prairie lands visible on the north side of the trail, James River Greenway also has several fishing areas available to visitors. The James River Greenway is designed to run further up James River to the north as construction of new sections of the trail continue.
