[title size=”2″]Sac River Mountain Bike Trail[/title]
The Sac River Mountain Bike Trail is an off-road single-track trail offering over 8 miles of fun but challenging adventure for mountain bikers and hikers alike. The trail travels through the woods in the northwest Springfield area, and includes outer and inner loops that have some rolling hills and areas with switchbacks. Watch out for other users on the trail and use caution on blind corners. Situating yourself while in the middle of this trail can get confusing—especially for those who don’t have a great sense of direction—so consider carrying a GPS device or map. Needless to say, there are no restrooms or water supplies, so make sure to bring everything with you and leave no trace along the trail.
The Sac River Mountain Bike Trail offers loops that are associated with different skill levels, ranging from beginner to difficult. Each loop varies in length from less than a mileto 4 miles long. Make sure to print out the color-coded map from the Ozark Greenways website to help orient you along the way.
